People working in cold-weather environments face hazards that require specialized skill and judgment. Enviro-Tech International’s cold weather survival training programs help prepare people to meet these challenges head-on by teaching vital skills and techniques that can be life-saving in these severe conditions. With decades of experience in the safety and survival education field, our unique approach to survival training is a solid investment toward keeping your personnel safe and more productive.
Courses explore the most important aspects of cold-weather survival. Beginning with what happens during a survival emergency, the short-term psychological stresses that play a role in decision-making and panic, individual and group dynamics, injuries and how they affect survival planning, hypothermia and cold injuries, and essential survival equipment and kits. The training emphasizes an organized approach to safety and survival, teaching important priorities such as shelter, fire and heat, water, food, signaling, staying where you are, and when to go for help. The course is packed with vital information and skills that all people working in a cold-weather environment will find valuable. The programs are taught using a fast-moving interactive approach with a combination of discussions, demonstrations, simulations, and hands-on participation.
We specialize in on-site training programs, which reduce travel and training budgets and provide a training experience that is more relevant to participants. All of our training programs are tailored to meet your specific requirements.
Course Format
The course can be presented in several formats. From classroom-only presentations to a 2 - 5-day format. The most common format is 3 consecutive days of training.
